National Osteoporosis Society

The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK wide charity dedicated to ending the pain and suffering caused by osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a condition which bones lose their strength and are more likely to break. It's estimated that every year in the UK there are more than 500,000 broken bones caused by osteoporosis - that's one every minute. Osteoporosis can mean living with pain, disability and a constant fear of fracture.

The National Osteoporosis Society provides information and support to people with osteoporosis, their family and carers through its free nurse helpline, comprehensive website, education events and free publications. It also works to help healthcare professionals offer the highest standards of diagnosis, treatment and care. Its research programme is improving our understanding of osteoporosis and driving new treatments and therapies which will ultimately beat the condition for good.

Your support is making a difference by helping to fund the charity's vital work. And by getting active and taking part in weight-bearing exercise, you're helping to improve your bone health.

Thank you for your support.
